Homebirth is a special opportunity for women to feel nurtured and respected throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Midwives offer holistic prenatal care, complete physical/emotional support for your natural birth, and all routine postpartum care for mom and baby for the first six weeks. We also offer access to waterbirth and natural childbirth classes. We desire to serve women of every race, religion, and socioeconomic background with an open heart and mind.

Mireya Midwifery is located in Bedford County, Virginia and has an office in Salem, Virginia. We serve Roanoke, Bedford, Franklin County, Lynchburg, Lexington, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Floyd, and surrounding areas. We may be willing to travel for special circumstances.

Did you know?

~ Virginia midwives are licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine- The same organization that licenses doctors in the hospital.     ~ Becoming a midwife is a rigorous process and requires much training and education.

~ We carry all equipment needed to make your birth as safe as possible. Think of us as a birth center on wheels :)

~ We are certified in neonatal resuscitation and have received thorough training to handle any complications, should they arise.

~ Homebirth is for healthy mothers and babies only. Each prenatal is a chance to get to know you and your baby and make sure everyone is doing well.
