Amanda Bunn
Phase III Apprentice

Savanah Songer CPM, LM

My name is Savanah Songer and I am the primary midwife for Mireya Midwifery. I work with some wonderful women that help ensure that you have the best experience possible for your birth. We work as a three person team including two licensed midwives and one advanced midwifery student. Having three people at your birth is optimal for safety should a complication arise. Our team has been working together for a long time and works very well together. Crystal Fink, with Breath of Life Midwifery, attends each birth with me alongside either Amanda Bunn or Olivia Moran(these are the advanced midwifery students.) Each of these ladies brings their own amazing touch to each birth. They are invaluable members of my team.

Crystal Fink
CPM, LM

Crystal became a licensed midwife in 2009 after a 5 year apprenticeship. She is an avid supporter of VBAC, family-centered care and informed consent. Crystal is a natural teacher and is working to train midwives throughout the area, especially in under-served areas. Crystal's birth philosophy-  I believe in women's ability to birth.  I believe that pregnancy is generally a state of wellness.  Women that are given the opportunity to give birth without inhibition and interference do very well and seldom require intervention. Crystal is the midwife I choose for all of my births. She is the midwife who trained me. She is a rare find and an irreplaceable asset to my team.

Team Mireya

Amanda began her midwifery journey at a Breath of Life Midwifery Birth Assistant Training Workshop in 2014. She was instantly a great fit with the team and became an apprentice 9 months later. She has completed Phase I and II of the midwifery program and is about to finish Phase III. She received training in fetal positioning, placental anatomy, suturing, shoulder dystocia, neonatal resuscitation, loss & bereavement, postpartum hemorrhage, and venipuncture. Amanda has been amazing to work with and her dedication and work ethic are unparalled.

Olivia Moran
Phase II Apprentice

Olivia has completed Phase I and will soon be finished with Phase II. She began the midwifery adventure in March of 2016 after attending the Breath of Life Midwifery Birth Assistant Training Workshop in 2015. Olivia is a firm believer in supporting moms with their birth goals and desires. She is a mother to five beautiful children and knows the value of knowledge and support for the mother-to-be. She is a also a Birth Doula, a student Bereavement Doula, a La Leche League Leader, Childbirth Educator, and a Lactation Educator. Olivia adds a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. She is so helpful and wonderful to work with.
